My Needles
I keep a knitting basket next to my chair at Knit Cafe and almost daily, when I am not
sitting, someone will poke through it to see what's in there. (usually a few
wip's). My needles seem to always get a lot of comments. They all have different
colored tips.
A few years ago, I began painting them with nail polish as a way to tell the different sizes apart.
I ultimately became obsessed with how cute they look and how much I love looking at them while
working on my various projects. Sometimes I even pick out a yarn in a certain color
just because I know it will look great with the needles!
At first, I focused mainly on orange (my favorite color) and pinks and then I found that
between my daughter and me, we have some really fun colors. I also have a
stash of polishes that go under the category of "what was I thinking?", that are perfect
for this use......yellow, brown, blue, green.....
I enjoy knitting with Crystal Palace bamboo needles and their polka dot tops are perfect
for painting.....as are Clovers. Be sure to use at least 2 coats of polish and it doesn't
hurt to finish off with a clear top coat! Have fun!

I followed the link from Craft magazine's blog. These remind me of the needles that come with Klutz Knitting Kit. I was wondering how to get more needles like the ones from the kit. This is such a great idea. I love it. Thanks!
